With summer now in full swing, we understand that parents are looking for different ways to spend fun, quality time with the kids. Netflix has loads of great TV shows and movies that are perfect for entertaining the whole family, helping you make the most of your time together.

With terrific kids’ series like Horrid Henry, iCarly and Spongebob Squarepants, as well as brilliant family films such as Tangled, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Lilo & Stitch, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Netflix is available anywhere where there’s a Wi-Fi connection, and can be watched on numerous devices, including mobiles, tablets, smart TVs and games consoles. Visit our Netflix Kids page to see our top family picks, and read recommendations from other mums.

So, how are your family using Netflix this summer? Are your little ones winding down by watching their favourite show after a big day out? Are the grandparents and kids bonding over a shared love for Toy Story 3? Is Netflix providing some much-needed respite on a rainy day? What else has been keeping your children happy in the holidays? Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it.

My family just LOVE Netflix - we would be lost without it. I love that I can monitor what the kids watch and they love the wide range of tv shows and films they have to choose from. As a busy mum it is also the perfect way to watch a drama series, I can watch episodes at any time day or night and Netflix remembers which episode I am on....which is amazing in itself!! As a family there are loads of films to choose from for the perfect family night in. My favourite moment this summer was when my 3 year old son was watching George of the Jungle on Netflix, I left him and his sister for a few moments - when I came back into the room he was jumping and running around on the couches singing "I'm George, George, George of the Jungle"! Brilliant LOL

I got netflix to watch Breaking Bad and as a family it was decided that there was no way that I was allowed unsubscribe. I love that netflix releases shows in blocks so there is no waiting for the next eposide.

Netflix has been a life saver in my house over the summer. My sons aged 4 and 7 both find different programmes to watch, there is something for everyone on it. After watching the lego movie in the cinema they discovered that there was loads of Lego programmes to watch, these have become a firm favourite, especially how they can turn it off go outside and play and when they turn it on again netflix remembers what they have watched.
It is very simple to use and my 4 year old is very capable using it, he loves watching it on my phone while his brother is playing matches/has training. It saves a lot of "I'm Bored, when are we going home".

It is great that you can watch it through different methods and as a parent who is on the go I would be lost without it.

Love love love Netflix. Actually signed up earlier this year to join the watch with mummypages group. Love OITNB and Breaking Bad, but it's not all about me you know, once the kids found out about their shows were available, sure I haven't event got a look in :) ha ha lol
I have to say though, it's a great facility to have at home at the touch of a button, and even better when we went away to Cork for a week. We were able to log in and get the kids set up as soon as we got there ... after a long drive there were some tired and cranky heads which we were able to resolve with a little bit of Barbie and Spongebob. Happy Days
We also sat down one evenign to watch a family movie - pop con and fizzy drinks and all. It was really lovely.
Great value, great to have to hand, a must for any family :)

My husband and I like to marathon watch our favorite new Newtlfix exclusive shows like Orange is the New Black or House of Cards. Our son love to watch cartoons in the morning before starting the day. The choice on offer by Netflix ensures that everyone is happy.

Hi
we signed up for netflix maybe about a year or so ago - we would watch it on and off for a while but since "orange is the new black" premiered we have not been off it :-) my kids absolutely love it one of them loves Dora so she can get her daily dose of it and my son loves power rangers so he can watch any amount of them on it :-) our only problem is that they both want to watch at the same time so thankfully we are able to stream it on our phones as well which is a godsend for car trips as well :-) so i would definately recommend Netflix for all the wonderful Mummypages followers :-)
thank you :-)

About 2 years ago, my partner and I decided to "kill" the tv. We cancelled our subscription to UPC and decided against getting any replacement. We chose instead to use Netflix as we were getting really bothered by the amount of advertisment that our children were being exposed to through tv. I am so pleased with Netflix and the interface on the Wii U that allows me to control the programs they can watch. After the kids go to bed, my partner and I love to watch the documentaries and are re-visiting Stargate Atlantis!!

We went on holidays and brought the laptop to start watching Breaking Bad in bed each night when the kds were asleep. Found the first few episodes hardwork but read another mum in this group saying to bear with it so we did and now we are addicted. LOVE Saul!

Netflix is my savior almost every evening. My husband works really long hours, so I am on my own everyday. At night after my son is in bed, I make myself a cup of chamomile tea and sit on the couch. On goes the tv and instantly I tell my smart tv to go to netflix. I watch everything from romantic comedy movies to loads of US tv series. I cannot get enough of it. Netflix is my obsession and my escape from my everyday life. Without it, I would have to rely on normal sky tv and that would just blow :)
